Enoch A Man Who Walked With God

(Gen. 5:18-24; Lk. 3:37; Heb. 11:5; Jude 1:14)

Only nine verses in the Bible mention Enoch, the seventh from Adam, but he is well remembered and well thought of by Bible students. Enoch was the son of Jared and the father of Methuselah. He lived three hundred and sixty - five years, but did not see death, for God took him, or translated him. Enoch walked with God and had this testimony — he pleased God. What a great biography in few words. When we have finished life, if it may truly be said of us that we walked with God and pleased Him, we will have done well. The only thing that will matter in judgment is our relationship with the Lord.
