When you visit us, expect simple, effective services designed to glorify God, produce faith in the hearers, and encourage each one in attendance to Godliness and faithfulness. You will be our honored guest and warmly received by all. Our well organized and well prepared Bible classes are designed to teach the Word of God and to promote daily Bible reading and family Bible studies. In our worship services we sing praises to God, go to Him in prayer, partake of the Lord’s Supper, members give back a portion of our blessings to support the work of the church, and we hear a Bible-based and practical message from God’s Word. We strive to worship God in spirit and in truth, with purity and simplicity of heart.
The Bible teaches that all first century congregations of Christ’s church were supposed to be the same, or have unity in belief and practice (1 Corinthians 4:16-17; 1 Corinthians 7:17; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-16), and remain that way even after the apostles died (2 Peter 1:12-15; Galatians 1:6-9). We understand these clear instructions on unity to mean that we have no authority to change the specific work or worship of Christianity today. Thus, you will find that we strive to carefully follow the New Testament pattern for our worship services. This means, for example, that while we sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in worship to God, we do not use mechanical instruments such as pianos, organs, drums, etc. to accompany our singing. We omit these instruments in worship not because we do not enjoy the sounds of them, nor because we want to be antagonistic and quarrelsome with our religious neighbors, but as a matter of conviction and Biblical authority. The New Testament does not instruct us to use mechanical instruments in worship and there are no examples in the New Testament of Christians using them in worship. We believe that in order to change this (or any) pattern of the New Testament church, we must have scriptural proof that we can do so.
We invite you to come and be a part of our services, so you can observe and experience our simple, sincere worship for yourself. You are always welcome!
